'Best Friend' Award 2003

John Brown - 'Friend' number 007 - receives his 'Best Friends' award from Past King Rat Keith Simmons and is congratulated by King Rat Chas McDevitt. John has supplied us with various guitars for auctions and raffles - which have raised thousands of pounds for our Charities Fund.

At the 'Friends' luncheon which took place last year King Rat Chas McDevitt and past King Rat Keith Simmons get together with three 'Friends' who are related to Water Rats from our past. Ken Philips (left) Great Grandson of our first Prince Rat Jack Lotto; Diane Warriss; daughter of Past King Rat Ben Warriss, and Danny Leno; Great nephew of PKR Dan Leno.

Past King Rat Keith Simmons joins King Rat Chas McDevitt to present the 2004 'Best Friend Award' to Ian McCreedie (Friend number 95).

This award is given each year to one of the 'Friends' for outstanding contribution to The Grand Order of Water Rats cause.

'Best Friend' Award 2005

Yvonne Tiffany - Friend number 100 - received the 'Best Friend Award' at the 2005 Ball. Past King Rat Keith Simmons (who instigated the 'Friends' in his year of office 2002) presented her with the inscribed plaque. Yvonne has, for several years, helped organise the Water Rats Charity Show in Holt, Norfolk an event which will be taking place again in 2006. Well done Yvonne and thank you so much for all you do for The Grand Order of Water Rats.
