Past King Rat Keith Simmons joins King Rat Chas McDevitt to present the 2004 'Best Friend Award' to Ian McCreedie (Friend number 95).

This award is given each year to one of the 'Friends' for outstanding contribution to The Grand Order of Water Rats cause.

'Best Friend' Award 2005

Yvonne Tiffany - Friend number 100 - received the 'Best Friend Award' at the 2005 Ball. Past King Rat Keith Simmons (who instigated the 'Friends' in his year of office 2002) presented her with the inscribed plaque. Yvonne has, for several years, helped organise the Water Rats Charity Show in Holt, Norfolk an event which will be taking place again in 2006. Well done Yvonne and thank you so much for all you do for The Grand Order of Water Rats.

For all their sterling work for the Rats, 'Friends' No 001, Anna Thomas and Michael Ralph of the Michael Ralph Consultancy were presented with our first 'Best Friends' Award by King Rat for 2002, Keith Simmons.

Michael and Anna worked closely with Keith to get this web site up and running in order to bring the Grand Order of Water Rats to a wider audience.

The 'Best Friends' Award is presented annually at the Ball to a 'Friends' member who helps us during the year in a significant way.

John Brown - 'Friend' number 007 - receives his 'Best Friends' award from Past King Rat Keith Simmons and is congratulated by King Rat Chas McDevitt. John has supplied us with various guitars for auctions and raffles - which have raised thousands of pounds for our Charities Fund.

'Best Friend' Award 2007

Irene Davies receives her 'Best Friend' award from King Rat Kaplan Kaye and Past King Rat Keith Simmons and Beryl Kaye. Irene always personally delivers a prize for our Lodge raffle every two weeks and also saves any press cuttings where Rats are involved. She always likes to help 'my boys' as she calls us!

'Best Friend' Award 2009

Past King Rat Keith Simmons joins King Rat Graham Cole to present the 2009 'Best Friend' award to Glenn M. Ford. Glenn has appeared in several shows for us, helping to raise much needed coins for our charities fund.

Every year, at our Ball, Past King Rat Keith Simmons presents the 'Best Friend' Award. This is in recognition of great service to our cause.
