On 26 March 2003 we paid tribute to our Brother Rat Sir John Mills at a splendid birthday luncheon at the Savoy Hotel, London. Speakers were Past King Rat Keith Simmons, Jess Conrad, Sylvia Syms Past King Rat Roy Hudd, Sir Cliff Richard and Barry Cryer. Our toastmaster Rat Bryn Williams BEM held everything together. Musical Rat Don Shearman played piano and the event was sponsored by Water Rat Jim Marshall. In his thank you speech 95 year old Sir John said - 'One of the greatest parts of my life is to be a Water Rat' and added - 'I hope I look as good as Jess when I'm his age'.
