Welcome George Saunders

Comedian George Saunders became Water Rat number 871 on Sunday 20th March 2011. George said how proud he was to become a member of our Order and our famous little gold Rat was pinned into his lapel by his Proposer, Trap Guard Adger Brown. George was given musical honours and then a hugely enjoyable meeting followed led by King Rat Keith Simmons. Welcome George to the wonderful world of The Water Rats.

King Rat Keith with Ken Dodd OBE and Bait Rat Tony Barton 5th April 2011 - King Rat Keith Simmons recently attended Ken Dodd's Good Turns Society luncheon in Liverpool and was extremely happy to receive a cheque for £500 for The Rats from Ken who is the President of the Society. Welcome Alvin Stardust

Singer Alvin Stardust was initiated into the Grand Order of WaterRats on Sunday 2nd October 2011 and became Water Rat Number 873. Originally a pop star in the early 1960's as Shane Fenton, Alvin created a new persona in the early 1970's and became an even bigger star as Alvin Stardust, his debut hit being "My Coo Ca Choo". Welcome Alvin to the wonderful world of The Water Rats.

King Rat Keith and Past King Rats Roger De Courcey, Graham Cole, Kaplan Kaye, Derek Martin and Chas McDevitt get close to our new Companion Rat Tony Bown. - We were pleased to initiate a new Companion Rat on Sunday 5th June 2011. Tony Bown joins a long list of illustrious predecessors who have worn and continue to wear their "CR" collar with pride. Tony is a major player in the debt and insolveny industry and a great man of charity. In 2008 he ran the New York marathon and raised over £10,000 for Marie Curie Cancer Care. He didn't run though when his Proposer, Past King Derek Martin, pinned our emblem into his lapel. Tony spoke of his pride in becoming a Companion Water Rat and promised to do all he can to assist us in our endeavors. Welcome Tony to the wonderful world of the Water Rats.

Friday 16th September 2011 - Lord Grade with King Rat - King Rat Keith Simmons presents The Water Rats Lifetime Achievement Award to Lord Grade at the Tribute Luncheon held at at the London Lancaster Hotel.
